As we celebrate a decade of Clean Start Africa's existence, I am filled with immense gratitude, pride, and hope. Looking back on this remarkable journey, I have witnessed firsthand the power of second chances and the incredible transformation that can happen when individuals are met with dignity, compassion, and opportunity.

Serving as the Communication Manager has given me the privilege of telling stories that matter, stories of resilience, restoration, and hope. Behind every program, every milestone, and every success story are women, children, and youth whose lives have been transformed through the work of Clean Start Africa. Sharing these journeys has not only been professionally fulfilling but has also deeply shaped my understanding of humanity, justice, and the importance of creating spaces where people can rebuild their lives.

One of the greatest blessings of this journey has been serving under the leadership of Teresa Njoroge. Teresa’s vision, courage, and unwavering commitment to restoring dignity to formerly incarcerated women and their families have been the driving force behind the organization's growth and impact. Her ability to turn personal adversity into a movement that has touched thousands of lives continues to inspire me. Through her leadership, I have learned the value of purpose-driven work, resilience in the face of challenges, and the importance of leading with both conviction and compassion.

As I reflect on this decade, I am proud of the stories we have shared, the voices we have amplified, and the awareness we have created around issues that are often overlooked. More importantly, I am grateful to have been part of a team that believes in the transformative power of hope and second chances.

As we look to the next decade, my hope is that Clean Start Africa will continue to expand its reach, deepen its impact, and influence systems that support restoration and reintegration. I look forward to telling even more stories of transformation and ensuring that the voices of those we serve continue to inspire change across Africa and beyond.
