Girls in Juvenile Justice
We walk with girls in the juvenile justice system raising awareness on why girls end up in rehabilitation schools.
The Problem
Girls in rehabilitation schools are mainly girls who need care and protection, usually from hostile and abusive homes, early marriages or family neglect.
Our Mandate
To journey with girls in juvenile justice linking them to psychosocial support, sustained educational opportunities, apprenticeship and industrial attachment opportunities.
To address the gaps in the Juvenile Justice System, barriers to care and protection and education.
The Solution
Sponsorship
The Clean Start Scholarship Program supports girls in high school by paying school fees and buying necessary items to keep them in school and provide them with equal education opportunities.
Mentorship
With our partners, we offer mentorship sessions to the girls educating them on reproductive health, provide them with psychosocial support and equip them with leadership skills.
family strengthening
We conduct home tracings and journey with the families to create a nurturing environment for the girls of their wellbeing.
I’d ask the government to allow organisations like Clean Start to continue supporting these rehabilitation schools to help the students start life anew.
